The annual local convention is back in Las Vegas, so get ready to get your cosplay gear on and join the adventure. After having to cancel last year due to COVID-19, fans anxiously awaited the comeback of LVL Up Expo. Finally, LVL Up Expo is returning this year with a bang! The convention takes place at the Las Vegas Convention Center, and it usually happens during the spring. This year, the convention is on Feb. 25-27, 2022, a 3-day weekend event!

LVL Up Expo is a huge collaborative event consisting of esports, anime, comics, video games, and technology. The main focus of the convention has revolved around the diverse community coming together to celebrate what they love. Both locals and tourists flock to the event to meet others that share similar interests with them. Tons of people will be dressed up as their favorite characters which is known as “cosplay”. LVL Up Expo started nine years ago, launching in 2013 and has been a huge success since then.

This year’s LVL Up Expo looks incredibly promising with all the guests that are going to be there and the new events that will take place. All the special guests that are going to be there range from voice actors, cosplayers, artists, commentators, and even YouTubers. Fans will be lined up to get autographs from these people as there will be autograph signings as well.

Here are a few honorable mentions: Tara Strong, Greg Cipes, Johnny Young Bosch, Zach Aguliar, Geoff Ramsay, Justin Briner, Amanda Miller, J. Michael Tatum, and Luci Christian. That isn’t all of them as there are too many to even list. You can check out all the guests on the LVL Up Expo website along with what events they will be hosting. You can also find out the times that the autograph signing will be, so you can get an autograph from your favorite voice actor.

A famous Youtuber, D. Piddy, dresses like Deadpool and other Marvel characters, will be there as well. He often runs around and does things that Deadpool would typically do. The convention is going to be very interesting and a lot of fun. As for the events, there are tons of things to do like Pro Wrestling. Then there is a cosplay contest, kpop battles, workshops, gaming tournaments, and side quests. There will even be an after party after the convention. Only those who are 18 and older can attend the after party.

If you’re a fan of anime and video games, it is a good opportunity to meet people at this event that love these things just as much as you do. The best part of the convention is the vendors hall where you can buy merchandise and art. If you’re into cosplaying, then you’ll be meeting a ton of other fellow cosplayers here. You can see your favorite characters come to life.

Masks are required at the event despite your vaccination status, so be sure to bring your mask or you most likely won’t be let in.

Making Friends in College

Making Friends in College By Hannah Dunbar   Making friends in college can be quite difficult when one is trying to balance school, work life, being a parent and sometimes, even an internship. This is especially true with the ongoing pandemic. When classes went virtual during 2020, it became harder to even make friends at all.
