Runnin’ Rebels Stay Hot At Home

UNLV Runnin’ Rebel Basketball earned their third straight win with a victory of Omaha 84-71 Wednesday night.

The Rebels shot poorly in the first-half shooting just 36% from the field, finishing 13 of 36 and trailed 38-35 at half-time.

The Rebels came out more aggressive defensively in the second half, scoring 17 points off turnovers from Omaha.

Omaha was held to 11 of 27 shooting in the second half, and was outscored by UNLV 49-33 to finish the game.

Bryce Hamilton led all scorers with 26 points. Royce Hamm Jr. shot a perfect 5 of 5 from the field, finishing with 16 points and 12 rebounds for the Runnin’ Rebels.

UNLV is currently eighth in Mountain West Conference standings at 7-5 overall. The Runnin’ Rebels improved to 16-2 all-time against teams that currently make up the Summit League, including 2-0 this season.

The Runnin’ Rebels return to action Wednesday December 22nd versus San Diego at home, were they are now 7-1 this season.
