Nevada Democrats request removal of McCarran statue in Capitol and renaming of airport
A letter led by Sen. Jacky Rosen was sent to Gov. Steve Sisolak, Assembly Speaker Jason Frierson and state Senate Majority Leader Nicole Cannizzaro requesting the removal of the Sen. Pat McCarran’s statue from the U.S. Capitol. Additionally, the letter, co-written by Rep. Steven Horsford, supports a name change of the McCarran airport.
